Dear colleagues, Happy New Year! We are excited to welcome you back to campus with Michelle Lopez: Shadow of a Doubt, opening with an artist talk + reception in Medford on January 15th, and Magical Thinking, of Systems and Beliefs, opening with a performance + reception at SMFA/Boston galleries on January 29th. These thought-provoking exhibitions spotlight diverse practices and offer critical examinations of the limitations of conventional systems of power, while proposing alternative approaches to thinking beyond these systems. It is not too late to connect these exhibitions with your classes:
Below you will find resources to add contextual information and background that you can use to think about course connections and/or add to your syllabi. Please reach out whenever you are ready to brainstorm ideas + I hope to see you at one or both opening events! Liz |

If you would like to schedule a small group or class session in the gallery, please contact me, elizabeth.canter@tufts.edu, even if you do not wish to co-teach the class with me or receive any gallery-led instruction. Additionally, select works from Tufts University Permanent Collection can be shown in Koppelman to small groups. VIRTUAL VISITS For larger or online classes, please contact me to discuss your learning objectives. Class content can be curated using permanent collection objects, videos, and still images of current exhibitions, and supplemental readings. I can work one-on-one in collaboration with you to create a live session via Zoom or an asynchronous assignment using Canvas, our online collection, and other virtual materials to best serve your curricular needs. |
