In just one week, you’re invited to join us at Tufts University Art Galleries / Medford for a VIP Toast, Artist Conversation, and Opening Reception to celebrate Michelle Lopez: Shadow of a Doubt. Shadow of a Doubt traces two decades of Lopez’s sculpture in dialogue, for the very first time, with her longstanding drawing practice. Steeped in the material and historic language of minimalism, Lopez’s sculptures, installations, and drawings—including a new wall drawing—underscore the precarity of our moment and the institutions we have long expected to support us. Learn more about the opportunities to celebrate with us and please register using the links below: Aidekman Arts Center / 40 Talbot Avenue, Medford Parking is free and open to all during the event. For directions and more information, visit https://artgalleries.tufts.edu/visit. VIP TOAST Toast to the exhibition with the artist and an intimate group of area colleagues and collaborators. Register for the VIP Toast here. ARTIST CONVERSATION Join us for a public conversation with exhibiting artist Michelle Lopez, exhibition curator Dina Deitsch, and art historian, critic, and curator Gloria Sutton in the Alumnae Lounge in the Aidekman Arts Center, followed by a community-wide opening reception. OPENING RECEPTION Register for the Artist Conversation and Opening Reception here. Michelle Lopez: Shadow of a Doubt is organized by TUAG Director Dina Deitsch and supported by Girlfriend Fund and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. |
